Basin Upfitting specializes in upfitting light and medium duty vehicles from large fleets to small businesses.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Assistant Controller/Controller to help with overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information.

Controller Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparation of monthly financial statement package
• Assist with all aspects of the general ledger, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts and reviewing monthly financial statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during financial audits
• Review and ensure the correct posting of entries by other staff
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions
• Research accounting issues for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Accounting of inventory activity for multiple locations

Controller Qualifications / Skills:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with financial reporting and analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance of Business
• Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry is a plus
