ARROJO NYC is Hiring a Full-Charge Bookkeeper at SoHo Based Corporate Office Near New York, NY

Excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, organized, details oriented, hardworking candidate to work for a dynamic group of companies, including full-service salon, cosmetology school and hair care products company in their New York City corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintains effective routine procedures for accounting duties to ensure accurate processing and reporting of financial information.
  • Posting in Quick Books of bills, invoices, payments, etc.
  • Analyzing & reconciling customer and vendors accounts & resolving any issues.
  • Assisting with payroll duties.
  • Recording of daily cash receipts and preparation of monthly reconciliation.
  • Sorting receipts and preparing various Excel reports
  • Maintenance of all AP/AR reports and files.
  • Monthly posting of credit card transactions and statements.
  • Processing of intercompany invoices.
  • Preparing merchant reports and reconciliation
  • Organizing W-9 files and other clients/vendors records, prepare 1099 forms.
  • Maintaining different sales reports and analysis for the management.
  • Helping with Inventory control.
  • Supporting HR functions, including maintaining employee records and assisting in recruitment processes.
  • Preparation of weekly checks.
  • Bank and Merchant Statements Reconciliation
  • Maintaining records by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
  • Other Full cycle of accounting duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualification:

· 2 years’ work experience in a similar position is a must.

· Proficiency with QuickBooks (minimum of 1-year extensive experience) and Excel spreadsheets is a must.

· Exceptional administrative and organizational skills.

· High degree of accuracy and attention to details, shows integrity and trust in all actions.

· Strong mathematical abilities

· High attention to detail and thoughtfulness in all work.

· Must be able to multitask in a very busy environment, initiative to go beyond minimum requirements, manage time effectively and desire to work independently and within a team.

· Higher Education in the following: Bookkeeping, Accounting or Finance is a must.

This is a full-time position,100% in office.

Compensation: $50,000-$70,000 per annum, based on experience.
