Compensation: $19.50/Hr DOE Benefits

We are looking for a qualified candidate to join our team in the Inorganics department. This is an entry level position and would involve sample preparation, analysis of samples, and quality control.

Scheduling is as follows: Tuesday – Friday (9 - 6) Saturday (8 – 5)

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of samples for analysis
• Analysis of water and waste water samples using both wet bench techniques and instrumentation
• Maintaining records of all quality activities as documented in SOPs and test methods
• Maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting scientific equipment related to your duties
• Reporting deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor
• Improving laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis

Requirements:

• Education: BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology
• Works well with others & able to work independently when required
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to accomplish a variety of tasks in a timely manner

Preferences:

• Experience: Basic computer skills and laboratory experience
• Strong self-leadership skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
