The Knuckle Boom Operator will be an integral part of the tree crew. We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate, and detail-oriented professional. The Knuckle Boom Crane Operator will be responsible for assisting with tree removal by remote control crane operation. This is an opportunity to work with the most cutting edge equipment in the industry and to be cross-trained in several different production and tree care positions. WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

KNUCKLE BOOM CRANE OPERATOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate ANSI industry safety standards and procedures
  • Operating knuckle boom grapple to pick up logs and debris from residential and commercial locations
  • Clearing work sites of all debris, including raking debris, picking up small sticks and branches, blowing off driveways and lawns, etc.
  • Operating equipment including but not limited to knuckle boom crane, hand saws, pole saws, chain saws, stump grinders, bucket truck, chippers and aerial lifts
  • Survey, evaluate and take measures to ensure the work area is safe from any dangers (powerlines, utilities, co-workers, etc.)
  • Daily inspection of knuckle boom as a whole to ensure that it is operational and take the appropriate steps to correct
  • Follows work order instructions from supervisor

REQUIREMENTS

  • Class A CDL - must be completed within four (4) month of hire
  • 2 years of experience on a production tree crew
  • 1 year of experience with Knuckle Boom Crane operation
  • Ability to operate tree related equipment such as chainsaw, aerial lifts, and stump grinders.
  • Knowledge of trees including identification, growth habits and correct arboriculture techniques for the trimming, pruning, repairing, maintaining and removing.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Punctual
  • Some basic tools and PPE are provided
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Willingness to further knowledge and grow within the company
