Aleph Bet Children’s Center, a 3-star community preschool in Chattanooga, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Preschool Teacher.

Many teacher responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· prepare classroom for class activities

· prepare and serve snacks/meals

· foster the child’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development by organizing the child’s learning experiences

· nurture the child as an active learner

· provide opportunities for language and literacy in both English and Hebrew

· encourage creative expression and appreciation for the arts

· create an environment where the child feels safe and valued and where his/her physical needs are met.

· instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment

· use relevant technology to support instruction

· encourage and monitor the progress of individual students

· manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures in accordance with the school

· be knowledgeable or willing to learn about Jewish traditions, dietary laws, blessings and celebrations

· support the child’s social and cultural identity through an experiential approach to Judaism, and to promote respect for cultural diversity within and outside Judaism

· participate in department and school meetings, parent meetings and conferences

· open or close facility as scheduled

· clean classrooms

· ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times

· be familiar with emergency procedure

· participate in State of Tennessee assessment as needed.

· assisting Aleph Bet Children’s Center Director as needed

Education and Experience Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $32,000.00 per year
