AEC is currently seeking a qualified entry-level individual to join our Rocky Mountain Region-area office located in Westminster, Colorado.
Summary
Advantage Environmental Consultants, LLC (AEC) is seeking an entry level Staff Scientist to join our team. This entry level position requires 0-2 years of experience in environmental consulting, geology, or related fields. This position operates primarily out of our Westminster, Colorado Office; however, travel throughout Rocky Mountain region will be required. Personnel with experience in due diligence and commercial/industrial Site development are encouraged to apply although not required.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position will focus on completing:
- Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
- Subsurface investigations
- Technical document review and creation.
Responsibilities of this position are diverse and fluid. Additional duties will include: coordinating site visits with clients and regulatory agencies in the field, documenting and summarizing results of field investigations and analyses, and supporting proposal preparation, contract execution, and budget/schedule adherence. Overtime, individuals will be provided with the opportunity for managing multiple environmental projects.
Required Skills & Required Experience
- BS degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning or related field
- Possess good communication skills through technical writing and in-person site inspections
- Comfortable working on multiple project assignments concurrently
- Capability to work and interact with clients, maintain project budgets and schedules
- Ability to climb ladders and handle larger property surveys
- Desire to work in a team environment
- Willingness to travel for short durations (1-2 days typical).
