What's the job all about?

Participate in the preparation of incoming lab specimens for Epi-genetic lab services:

• Supports Epi-Services customer projects received by Operations & Services Team
• Learn to performs next generation sequencing (NGS) lab bench work assigned in a time dependent, quality dependent manner
• Learn to executes assigned lab bench experiments in a time dependent manner and quality dependent manner
• Performs regular clean-up of the lab bench space / equipment utilized
• Performs and follows safety requirements as outlined
• Keeps detailed record of lab experiments, logs of instruments utilized
• Contributes and supports Group Leader with customer projects data analysis
• Learn to perform different Assay Services with varying sample batch sizes
• Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments, while understanding the necessity for communicating and collaborating work efforts with other team members
• May be required to work overtime occasionally, as well as other duties that may be assigned

Education/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required
• Associates degree preferred
• Undergraduate coursework pursuing degree in biology, molecular biology or related science field preferred
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong work ethics, reliable and accountable
• Enthusiasm for teamwork and contributing to common team goals
• Comfortable working independently (after training period) and as part of a team

Competencies:

• Proficient with MS Office Suite using Excel, word, etc., accurate data entry, typing, etc.
• High attention to detail and problem solving
• Professional written and verbal communication

The salary range represents Active Motif's good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of the posting.
