Award-winning, residential design/build construction company is looking for a rockstar Design Coordinator to join our team! Our ideal candidate is a motivated, self-starter with a love for design and exceptional organizational and communication skills. This is an entry-level design position with room to grow.
As a Design Assistant, you will support our Interior Designers during the design process, juggle different projects, anticipate their needs, communicate design concepts, and essentially make their job easier so they can take on more clients. The role involves daily interaction with homeowners, trade partners and teammates to complete projects on time and within budget.

Skills & Minimum Requirements:
· 1-2 years of design experience is strongly preferred
· Must be accurate and detail-oriented
· Ability to sketch
· Experience with computer aided visual software (Ex. Sketch-up, Canva, CAD, Softplan)
· Team player
· Excellent customer service and client interaction skills
· Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, in a professional manner
· Proficient in typing internal and external correspondence
· Proficient in Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and/or CRM
· Ability to adjust and be flexible to sudden demands with a “go above & beyond” attitude
· Ability to maintain a consistent 40-hour work week
· Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and pass a background check
Responsibilities:
· Provide excellent client experience throughout the project to ensure repeat business and client referrals
· Compile and organize design-related data including CAD, Excel documents of material selections, etc.
· Order and track designs selections
· Deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to clients, trade partners, and team members
· Check in products against orders for accuracy
· Utilize our cloud-based, construction management software to communicate with clients, trade partners and team members
· Follow up with trade partner communication and product quotes
· Provide sketches (space planning) for communication to field for product installation
· Prioritize workflow to meet project deadlines
· After training, be knowledgeable in all areas of design as it relates to homebuilding/remodeling—i.e., appliances, plumbing, lighting, surfaces, cabinetry, millwork, paint, etc.
· Work with other CAD Designer on specific projects
