MOGAS Industries, Inc., the leading manufacturer of severe service ball valves for extreme industrial applications is seeking a qualified Assembler II – Night Shift for our North Houston location. The position will be responsible for assembly and testing of all valves.

Required Education and Experience: 

• High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required
• Three (3) plus years related experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities and Essential Requirements:

• Assembles ball valves and mounts gears in up to 10 Assembly stations with moderate direction and/or Supervision.
  1. Accesses Bill of Material test form drawings online and verifies correct parts against BOM.
  2. Follows prints or relies upon existing knowledge to carefully position parts to be assembled according to operation sequence.
  3. Skilled in mounting worm gear or hand lever on valves.
  4. Cleans and paints valves if applicable.
  5. Performs required lapping operations.
  6. Collaborates proactively with Supervisor, Leadman or Engineering department to resolve problems when they occur.
  7. Assists other assemblers as needed.
  8. Able to work on 5 to 10 assembly stations

• Under moderate Supervision, thoroughly and accurately conducts required tests.
  1. Extracts testing information from Order Verification report
  2. Maintains and operates test stand with no supervision.
  3. Ensures correct pressure is used when testing.

• Under moderate Supervision. accurately records Material Test Report Data 
  1. Verifies Heat Sheet MTR information to be correct.
  2. Accurately records heat numbers on test forms.
  3. Completes test and inspection reports and records and submits results online.
  4. Visually and Physically Inspects parts for proper fit and finish.
  5. Verifies correct parts against Bill of Materials.

• Safely uses assembly equipment to maintain a safe work environment. 
  1. Safely and capably operates, Crane, hydraulic wrenches, fork lift and pallet jack as needed to handle / move material during assembly and/or testing.
  2. Able to operate assembly tools used for valve lapping.
