Job Description: Team Member
Position: Team Member
Reports to: Restaurant Owner, General Manager, Assistant Manager, Shift Lead
Location: Roseville, CA
Position Summary:
A team member is responsible for various tasks related to the daily operations of the restaurant. Their primary role is to ensure efficient and timely service to customers while maintaining cleanliness and adhering to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Customer Service:
o Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
o Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, either in person or through the drive-thru.
o Provide product recommendations and answer customer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing.
o Handle customer complaints or concerns with patience and professionalism.
· Food Preparation and Assembly:
o Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
o Assemble food orders with accuracy, ensuring that they meet quality standards and presentation requirements.
o Package and wrap food items for takeout or delivery orders.
o Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and special promotions.
· Cash Handling and Point of Sale (POS) Operations:
o Operate cash registers or POS systems to process customer payments.
o Handle cash, credit card transactions, and issue accurate change.
o Maintain accurate cash drawer and perform cash reconciliation at the end of the shift.
o Follow proper cash handling procedures and ensure security of cash and other assets.
· Cleaning and Sanitation:
o Clean and sanitize workstations, cooking equipment, and dining areas.
o Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
o Dispose of waste and maintain cleanliness of trash receptacles.
o Monitor and restock inventory of supplies, such as napkins, utensils, and condiments.
· Teamwork and Collaboration:
o Work effectively as part of a team, communicating and coordinating with other staff members to ensure smooth operations.
o Assist colleagues in their duties during busy periods or when needed.
o Follow instructions from supervisors and managers.
o Contribute to a positive work environment and promote teamwork and cooperation.
· Adherence to Policies and Procedures:
o Follow company policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times.
o Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control.
o Comply with dress code requirements and maintain a neat and clean appearance.
