Part-time Office Coordinator

Reports to: Communication Director

Status: Part-Time (28 hours/week)

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt/Hourly

Position Overview:

As the Part-time Office Coordinator, you will be an essential member of our church community, ensuring that our administrative operations run smoothly. Your warm welcome to visitors, attention to detail, and organizational skills will contribute to the overall success of our ministry programs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Assist Pastors, Program staff, Clerk of Session, and Ministry Groups with day-to-day administrative tasks.
  • Welcoming Connection: Be the friendly face that greets visitors in person and handles phone inquiries professionally.
  • Bulletin Production: Create weekly worship bulletins and special service bulletins.
  • Newsletter Coordination: Compile monthly newsletter submissions and support the Communications Director in distribution.
  • Database Management: Maintain membership records and the church calendar using online systems.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing church events, including weddings, baptisms, and funerals/memorial services.
  • Supplies Management: Keep office, programmatic, and worship supplies well-stocked.
  • Additional Tasks: Fulfill other requests from the Communication Director or Pastor.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree Required: Candidates should have a college degree or equivalent educational background.
  • Administrative Experience: Minimum of 2 years of administrative work, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite: Familiarity with both Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Attention to Detail and Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks with precision and flexability.
  • Positive, Whatever-It-Takes Attitude: A highly developed sense of accountability and ownership.
  • Flexible Mindset: Ability to adapt to changing needs.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Professional communication and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Media Background (Preferred): Candidates with a media background, including proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, are encouraged to apply.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to move freely within church buildings and exterior property.
