We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with mid to large sized accounts.
Duties:
· Review and work activities daily.
· Handle all day-to-day client servicing including client coverage questions, changes to coverages or limits; contract review, etc.
· Maintain current client contact information as well as correct and current accord applications in accordance with department standards.
· Maintain expiration lists assuring appropriate EXDT Activities are entered to assure timely
review of all renewals.
· Maintain knowledge of current legal and social conditions, which may impact adequacy of policy coverage and limits.
· Review current policies and coverages for adequacy and/or sales opportunities.
· Interview client for changes in exposures, recommending coverage upgrades where appropriate
· Solicit referrals and x-dates from existing clients.
· Market and rewrite accounts under $5,000 in revenue when required or as directed by producer OR prepare for and work with marketing - including gathering updated information, updating applications, making carrier submissions, and proposing and binding when required.
· Prepare proposals for renewals including all required subjectivities of the quotation including any necessary agency billing, finance agreements, signature forms, etc.
· Participate in ongoing training with carriers on their internet websites.
· Check company issued policies for accuracy, informing company and client of errors and/or corrections.
· Document client files with all correspondence, discussions, emails, etc utilizing the appropriate
activity code as well as folder sub/folder selections for attachments.
· Delegate work as necessary according to CL workflows to Technical and Virtual assistants, and offer guidance and support for their development when appropriate.
· Perform other assignments as requested by producers or management.
Skills, Education, & Experience:
· Current PA Property & Casualty Insurance license required.
· High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
· Minimum 5 years of licensed commercial lines account management experience required.
· Knowledge of commercial insurance carrier’s rating systems and underwriting guidelines. typical to the property & casualty industry.
· Knowledge of ISO and acord forms required.
· Prior experience with an agency management system, preferably Applied products.
· Proficient with Microsoft Products (Excel, Word, O365).
· Strong typing skills including speed and accuracy.
· Ability to multi-task efficiently and accurately.
· Professional yet friendly communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Organized and self-motivated.
· Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
Environment:
We currently operate on a hybrid schedule working from home Monday, Wednesday, Friday and in the office Tuesday and Thursday. Regular business hours are 8am-4:30pm with special summer hours of 8am-4pm.
