Job Summary: The Material Planner supporting food and beverage contract manufacturing is a pivotal role that oversees a seamless operation with material planning for production. Responsible for coordinating schedules, reviewing inventory and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you’ll ensure timely delivery of raw materials for multiple shifts of food and beverage manufacturing. Your attention to detail will be crucial in keep track of raw material deliveries and create bill of materials (BOMs) for warehouse and production team members. Communication skills are vital for liaising with internal teams, vendors and clients. What You’ll Do:

• Execute comprehensive material planning strategies to ensure accurate and timely delivery of raw materials for production
• Work closely with suppliers, clients and internal teams to maintain effective relationships, monitor deliveries and address any issues affecting the supply chain
• Review purchase orders, track deliveries and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time and accurate shipments
• Collaborate with production, logistics and quality control teams to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Review documentation of, but not limited to, orders, supplier information and inventory levels to support material planning activities
• Utilize an MRP system to create various production documents (e.g. BOMs and inventory pull sheets)
• Leverage technology and software for efficient material planning, tracking and reporting
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement within the production coordinator functions
• Work with vendors and/or clients to address and overcome raw material quality issues
• Address and resolve any material planning related issues or bottlenecks to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations
• Additional project as assigned by leadership

What We’re Looking For:

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent is required
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain is preferred
• 2 years of experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office required
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with leadership, employees, and other departments as needed
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
• Able to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing or alternative form
• Ability to communicate effectively and timely with operational personnel and leadership
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervisor while staying on task, adapting to changes in priorities, and demonstrating strong sense of urgency
• Ability to work additional hours as needed and required
• Strong attendance and reliability record
• Ability to display good-natured, cooperative attitude
• Ability to follow work instruction and handle multiple time sensitive priorities
