Under the supervision of the Clinical Director the clinical supervisor is responsible for assisting the clinical director to oversee functions of the clinical department.
Primary Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Assist the Clinical Director in being responsible and accountable for clinical leadership of the agency's clinical programs serving persons with substance use and co-occurring disorders
· Direct and supervise all clinical aspects of programs offered at the agency and be responsible for clinical quality and standards of these programs
· Provides a unifying clinical vision of service delivery across a continuum of services; supports a multi-disciplinary team; acts as a clinical consultant to the Clinical Director as requested and assumes administrative and clinical responsibility in the absence of the Clinical Director.
· Ensuring schedules of patients and staff are fulfilled
· Ensuring staff follows policies and procedures as set forth by the agency and Clinical Director
· Assist in compliance with policies and procedures as set forth by the Compliance Director
· Assist in the planning, developing and implementation of clinical services and programs
· Attends administrative meetings as necessary
· Provides services to patients
· Perform other duties and/or assignments as required by the agency.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
1) Minimum Degree: Bachelor’s and LISW or LPCC
2) Required to be licensed with the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage & Family Therapist Board or Ohio Chemical Dependency Board
3) A strong background in treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders, including medication assisted treatment (MAT) and programming, utilizing Motivational Interviewing and stage-based interventions
4) Ability to carry out detailed written and/or oral instructions, along with the ability to understand human behavior
5) Must maintain a professional demeanor while dealing with emotionally charged issues and individuals
6) Must be able to make decisions at times with imperfect information
7) Effectively present information and respond to questions from a diverse demographic group
8) Ability to write reports and correspondence
9) Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
10) Effective Communication
11) Active listening skills
12) Demonstrate clinical organization, leadership, and team building qualities
