Position Summary:
Assists the Store Manager in general management duties and shares responsibility for the store operation and performance. Coordinates and directs the overall operations of the store in the absence of the store manager.

Hours : This is a full-time opportunity. Weekends will be required.

Qualifications/Skills:

• 1-2 years' experience working in a grocery department is preferred
• Previous supervisory experience is preferred
• Proven attendance record/job longevity
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
• Honest, team-oriented person who has a good work ethic

• Supports the Store Manager in the fulfillment of his/her responsibilities in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling store activities and operations.
• Supports monitoring store quality, cleanliness, stock levels, merchandising, sales growth, and profitability.
• Monitors work schedules for all store personnel to ensure consistent application of courtesy and service to customers.
• Ensures that accurate records are maintained in tracking margins, markdowns, in-store use of merchandise, voids, refunds on outdated, damaged, or spoiled merchandise write-offs.
• Provide friendly, courteous, positive and enthusiastic interactions with customers
• Order merchandise for the following departments, including but limited to: grocery, general merchandise, and health and beauty aids
• Set merchandise displays
• Deal with vendors and salespersons regarding department products
• Checks-in merchandise to make sure the store receives what the invoice indicates
• Knows all product and location of all product in the store
• Follow store sign program as directed by the corporate office
• Face and rotate existing product if needed
• Ensure shelves are fully stocked
• May perform duties as cashier, stocking or bagging when needed
• Stays productive while punched in
• Other duties as they are assigned
