Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a Full-Time Kitchen Alchemist. This role will be responsible for preparing food and baked goods for our cafe, assisting with food preparation for special events, and providing support to the kitchen staff in our syrup manufacturing facility as needed.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess a keen ability to curate menu items, practice creative problem solving and creative recipes, as well as demonstrate a unique ability to identify the best ingredients to compliment our products in sweet and savory foods.

Responsibilities:

1. Baking: Prepare a variety of baked goods for our cafe, including but not limited to pastries, bread, cakes, and desserts. Follow recipes and quality standards to ensure consistent and delicious results.
2. Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation for our cafe menu and special events. Ensure that all food items are prepared fresh, with attention to presentation and flavor.
3. Kitchen Support: Provide support to the kitchen staff in our syrup manufacturing facility, which may include assisting with ingredient preparation, cooking, and packaging of products. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
4. Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on baked goods and other food items to ensure they meet our standards for taste, texture, and appearance. Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
5. Inventory Management: Assist in managing inventory of ingredients and supplies needed for baking and food preparation. Notify management when supplies need to be replenished.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the cafe team, kitchen staff, and other departments to coordinate food production schedules, communicate special orders, and ensure timely delivery of products.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in baking and food preparation, preferably in a cafe or bakery setting.
• Ability to create and prepare savory food items; soups, sandwiches, and salads
• Strong passion for baking and creating delicious, high-quality baked goods.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation principles.
• Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as needed.
