Job Description
Title: Facilities Specialist
SUMMARY:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Clean offices, classrooms, bathrooms, hallways and empties trash in all areas, including any garbage containers.
2. Keeps facilities in reasonable repair by performing routine maintenance, such as painting and minor repairs.
3. Must keep walkways clear of debris, snow and ice.
4. Maintain grounds in a neat and orderly condition (mowing lawns, trimming and watering trees and shrubs).
5. Sweeps, mops, polishes and strips floors.
6. Dust and/or polishes furniture, blinds and equipment.
7. Moves furniture, equipment and repairs fixtures as required.
8. Stocks assigned areas with appropriate supplies.
9. Must have knowledge of how to safely use cleaning products and supplies.
10. Perform routine maintenance around the building such as repairing structural damage on windows, door and walls.
11. Repair broken or leaking fixtures
12. Maintain the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in facility to function properly.
13. Apply preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of problems, such as using a sealant on the roof.
14. Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
15. Must adhere to work schedule assigned by supervisor.
16. Must be able to read English in order to ensure that all chemical handling is conducted in compliance with OSHA standards.
17. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
