Job PurposeThe Vice President (VP), Marketing oversees an integrated, global marketing and communication strategy, manages the marketing budget to drive revenue growth and profitability, builds brand equity, and leads positioning activities for a diverse product portfolio in support of ambitious growth objectives. They serve as a strategic thought partner to the Executive team, manage a global team, and define brand positioning, portfolio management, research, and set regional marketing strategies. They also support product innovation, promotions, partnerships, and package design to enhance brand value across all touchpoints. This role is dedicated to bringing the Modere product brand to life and into the hands of our social marketing partners, affiliates, and consumers.
Essential Functions
  • Manage a team of international marketing professionals and third-party resources across all distribution channels. Act as a coach and mentor, developing marketing talent and overall organizational capability, inspiring team members at all levels of the organization, and ensuring the marketing team has the right talent to support organizational goals.
  • Collaborate closely with Executive Leadership and regional Sales Leaders to ensure alignment throughout all stages of product marketing, from campaign inception to product launch, resulting in increased customer base and sales revenue.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by managing the marketing budget, offering detailed spend analysis with a constant focus on ROI and increased market share.
  • Serve as a senior leader to social marketers, fostering sponsor relationships, presenting strategy and go-to-market plans for product launches and campaigns, and representing the brand at relevant events.
  • Participate as an active member of the Executive Leadership team and demonstrate accountability for execution of all strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Strategy & Execution
    • Continuously develop, redefine, and communicate iterative marketing strategies to reflect the organization's path forward in a way that resonates with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Define authentic and creative brand positioning that is differentiated versus the competition and relevant to targeted customer segments.
    • Create and execute a truly integrated omnichannel marketing and communication strategy that seamlessly leverages both the salesforce community and the ecommerce and digital assets of the group for maximized revenue and profitability.
    • Execute branding, marketing, and communications programs that drive enterprise goals for revenue, growth, profitability, productivity, and customer service in meaningful and measurable ways.
    • Optimize customer lifecycle management, customer segmentation analysis, revenue optimization, and retention strategies.
    • Develop marketing strategy and oversee Modere's entire portfolio management to enhance brand value with consumers and customers across touch points.
    • Partner effectively with regional marketing teams to define digital/social/e-commerce marketing strategy for each region and to define direct-to-consumer strategies, channel marketing strategies, and annual product campaigns.
    • Execution of competitive analysis and pricing strategies across regions and creation of unique strategies to leverage strengths and capitalize on competitive weaknesses. Perform regional market insight research to aid in targeted consumer digital product marketing positioning.
    • Develop and rigorously adhere to well-defined key performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Brand Building
    • Raise the profile of the brand by becoming a key business partner and educating all members in the organization as to the power of brand experience, ensure social marketing leaders are compelled to partner with corporate sales & marketing leaders to drive demonstrated business growth.
    • Help support product innovation and ideation, lead partnering, promotions and partnerships, and package design.
  • Digital Marketing & E-commerce
    • Oversight of websites to ensure an intuitive and seamless shopping experience for all customers. Closely monitor and analyze customer behavior and feedback to continuously improve the online shopping journey and maximize conversion rates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and updates, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in e-commerce and user experience design.
    • Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the company's comprehensive social media strategy across all relevant platforms. This includes crafting engaging and impactful content tailored to each platform and target audience, as well as managing content calendars and scheduling posts for optimal reach and engagement.
    • Responsible for developing and executing comprehensive search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve the company's online visibility and drive organic traffic to the website. This includes conducting keyword research, optimizing website content and structure, and implementing technical SEO enhancements to improve search engine rankings.
    • Create and manage a content marketing strategy aimed at attracting, engaging, and converting target audiences. This involves producing high-quality, relevant content across various formats, such as blog posts, articles, videos, infographics, and more, to address customer needs and pain points while aligning with SEO best practices.
    • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including web developers, designers, and marketing specialists, to ensure seamless integration of SEO and content marketing efforts. Monitor and analyze performance metrics, such as website traffic, keyword rankings, and content engagement, to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and algorithm updates to continuously refine and adapt SEO and content marketing strategies for maximum effectiveness. Experiment with new approaches and techniques to stay ahead of the competition and drive sustainable growth for the organization.
  • Organizational Alignment
    • Align marketing efforts with the organization's strategic priorities and link to business results.
    • Oversight of company-wide marketing calendar, focusing on customer and salesforce engagement and promotions.
    • Oversight of company-wide promotional and advertising plans and ensure that initiatives are in line with company goals, objectives, and sales targets.

Education & Experience
  • Recommended:
    • A bachelor's degree in a related field and fifteen plus (15 ) years' aggregate leadership experience in consumer product marketing.
    • Demonstrated expertise in direct-to-consumer, utilizing ecommerce/digital platforms to launch successful campaigns resulting in exceeding sales targets.
    • Proven track record of brand building that resulted in demonstrated business growth.
    • Track record of working through obstacles to deliver with turnaround deadlines.
    • Direct-to-consumer and e-commerce experience utilizing digital platforms.
    • Experience in the design and development of the customer experience (CX) including email marketing platform strategy and social media content design/distribution.
    • Highly data-driven, KPI-focused, and tech-led marketing experience with deep customer performance acquisition marketing skills.
    • Experience leveraging specific Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and email marketing platform(s) and possesses strong social media listening/distribution experience.
    • Experience promoting and managing both physical and virtual sales/promotion events.
    • Proven experience in the development and implementation of market-leading omnichannel solutions, backed by specific, measurable results.
    • Exceptional communication skills, e.g., verbal, written, creative, and presentation.
  • Preferred:
    • A master’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
    • Work with independent salesforce, franchises, or influencers.
