This is a part-time position Monday- Friday from ~8.00am - 1.00pm. Occasionally hours can be shorter or longer.

You will assist in all stages of the pastry making process, including making dough, preparing fillings, monitoring oven, portioning and packing (no prior baking knowledge required but strongly preferred).

Skills

• Familiarity with professional bakery equipment, including spiral mixers, rack ovens, and dough sheeters (preferred, but not required)
• Understanding of food safety practices is absolutely required (SafeServ and/or HACCP preferred)
• Excellent time-management skills!
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is strongly preferred
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or occasionally more.
• Must be able to stand for 6 hours.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, and carry materials or equipment on a regular basis.
• Must be able to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and timely.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
