Orlando Sanford International Airport is seeking dedicated and customer-oriented Traffic Enforcement Monitors. In this role, you will monitor terminal curbside areas, assist customers, direct traffic flow, prevent unattended baggage, provide directions to travelers, and ensure safety procedures are followed. The ideal candidate will work independently while adhering to regulations and instructions. Traffic Enforcement Monitors play a vital role in maintaining efficient airport operations and ensuring excellent service.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor traffic at airport terminal curbside areas and assist customers.
• Comply with instructions and prescribed routines, methods, or procedures, involving minor decision-making.
• Stand and walk for extended periods, often outdoors, as the initial point of contact for airport customers.
• Walk designated areas at the terminal curbside, directing traffic to keep moving and ensuring no parking or blocking of ingress and egress in drop-off/pickup areas.
• Report to the Supervisor regarding drivers who refuse to move their vehicles.
• Request the Control Center to announce the color, make, and model of vehicles that need to be moved.
• Monitor ground transportation areas and ensure vehicles are attended by drivers or transportation employees.
• Patrol the area for unattended bags.
• Assist customers in crossing the street or obtaining a wheelchair when needed, and provide directions to drivers on how to exit the airport.
• Perform or assist with any operations required to maintain workflow and meet schedules and quality requirements.
• Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional materials and supplies.
• Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules, keeping the work area clean and orderly.
• Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and stay informed about new developments, requirements, and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to stand and walk for 8 hours
• Able to work in the elements in Sanford, Florida
• Able to handle conflict in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to pass a Federal Fingerprint Background Check (lifetime check; felonies will not be cleared)
• Ability to pass a 10-Panel Drug Test (includes testing for THC; SAA is a drug-free workplace as regulated by the FAA)
• Favorable Moving Violation Report (MVR) check (checks for DL suspension, several moving violations, DUIs, etc.)
