Receivables Specialist – Portland ‎

Schwabe is a leading Pacific Northwest law firm across four states. We are seeking a team member to ‎join our Accounting department to help us better serve our clients. ‎

This position will be located in our Portland office. This role will work in the Portland office 3 days per ‎week with options to work remote Monday & Friday. ‎

Responsibilities include: ‎

  • Accurately process payments from multiple sources daily
  • Perform extensive research and inquiry necessary to process a portion of the daily payments
  • Promptly process refund and book transfer requests
  • Respond to incoming calls and email messages for receivables team
  • Assist in processing appeals for reductions made on invoices
  • Maintain accurate receipt records ‎
  • Assist Accounts Receivable team as needed
  • Research and resolve account discrepancies in a timely manner ‎
  • Learn various technology platforms
  • Multi-task various duties
  • Spreadsheet creation and maintenance
  • Assist in developing process improvement checklists and manuals for specific practice areas
  • Resolve and appeal issues with reduced e-bills while meeting required deadlines
  • Assist with other projects as needed

  • Communication skills such as listening and conveying information effectively, leadership skills ‎and being service oriented
  • High level of organization, accuracy and attention to details
  • Ability to deliver a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Degree in business administration, accounting preferred or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge of accounting software
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles
