Wage Range: $46-$58,000 salary/DOE
Job Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Job Summary: This position provides immediate support to ensure all welcome desk, bathing and grooming, wrangler, lead coordinator and overnighter functions are actively supervised and managed. The Assistant Store Manager works as a member of the management team to ensure store related practices are strategically aligned with overall business objectives. This is a visible position, which interacts with many levels of the organization across multiple functions and reports to the Store Manager, additionally, this position will have multiple direct reports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following is a list of general job responsibilities for the Assistant Store Manager position. This list is not all-inclusive and may be broadened or changed to meet changing business needs.
Liaison to Store Manager, General Manager, Dog Trainers, Human Resources and CEO
Completes store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
Maintains store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Conducts candidate interviews for open positions as needed
Responsible for coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
Leadership presence and knowledge of all aspects of business practices and processes
Achieves financial objectives; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Contributes to team effort and growth by accomplishing related results
Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures, monitoring inventory and order levels for internal ordering processes, store IT needs and maintenance
Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment
Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
Responsible to support creating and publishing of weekly schedule two weeks in advance
Provides support and resolution for walk through criteria
Ability for proficiency in Gingr/Paychex to assist with management and administration of data
Assist with first time client feedback calls to ensure 48-hour turnaround time is being met
Oversight of Grooming and Bathing department, Concierge/Welcome Desk, Handlers, Packleaders and Night Owls
Experience/Education/Certifications
College degree in Management or Veterinary preferred but not required
3 years previous customer service experience required
2 years previous supervision experience required
Required Skills and Abilities

Strong interpersonal skills/verbal communication
Must Have Open availability – Day, Evening, Weekend and Holiday
Computer literacy, Ability to achieve familiarity with Pet Exec software system
Ability to lift 45 lbs.
