The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the various cost accounting and related functions associated with sales, cost of goods sold, variances and inventories, as well as assisting with month-end general ledger close, all cost reports and other activities as assigned.
This is an onsite position based in Austin, Texas.
Job responsibilities:

• Support Month-end Close
  
  • Complete accruals for plant & distribution vendors
  • Perform balance reconciliations for Michael Angelo's & RAOs brands
  • Complete all necessary general ledger reclassifications
  • Reconcile total inventory for Michael Angelo's & RAOs brands
  • Conduct write-off reserve analyses for Michael Angelo's & RAOs brands
  • Support all quarterly & annual audits
• Inventory
  
  • Conduct quarterly reconciliations of 3PL inventory locations
  • Facilitate 3PL cycle count accuracy tracking & inventory testing
  • Support annual physical inventory counts
• Reporting
  
  • Prepare & distribute weekly production trends
  • Prepare & distribute weekly PPV performance
  • Report waste daily, weekly & monthly & on an ad hoc basis
  • Prepare daily & monthly analysis of production cost variances
  • Prepare analysis of labor cost variances as needed
  • Maintain other daily, weekly & monthly reports as required by various internal customers
• Bill of Materials
  
  • Calculate & update labor & overhead rates as needed
  • Calculate & update line run speeds as needed
  • Ensure accuracy of current cost & bill of material detail for all products
  • Assist in annual standard cost roll
• Fixed Assets
  
  • Track fixed assets to ensure additions & write-offs happen in a timely manner
  • Conduct fixed asset audits annually

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP in a cost environment
• Good organizational, analytical problem solving & communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be responsible & self-motivated.
• Willing to work extra hours as project or production needs dictate.
• Passion towards driving continuous improvement.

The targeted budget for this position is $65 - 85K per year. This compensation budget range may be adjusted at any time at the discretion of the company.
