GENERAL SUMMARY:

Looking for a responsible, energetic person who can develop healthy relationships with kids, lead various high-activity games, and encourage camper participation. Daily tasks include equipment maintenance, monitoring campers during breaks, setting up and leading activities, and cleaning up camp rooms at the end of shifts. Ideal characteristics is someone who enjoys working with children, is high energy, participates in every aspect of the day, can communicate effectively with staff and campers and is teachable. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan and implement daily activities
• Ensure campers know daily rules and adhere to them
• Supervise children throughout routine changes in day
• Enthusiastically lead games and provide a positive role model
• Follow proper procedures for camp check in/check out
• Make sure opening and closing duties are performed depending on shift working
• Report accidents to Supervisor and maintain accurate documentation on incidents
• Keep up to date notes on games played and overall rating of shift

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Desire and ability to work with children ages 5 - 13
• Patience working in busy environment
• Able to interact positively with children and co-workers
• Responsible and dependable work habits
• Problem solving skills
• Child care experience

EDUCATION:

• Minimum High School age and higher

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week

Schedule:

• Afternoon shift
• After school
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Ability to Relocate:

• Morrisville, NC 27560: Relocate before starting work (Required)
