Position Overview:

Just 4 Us Childcare is seeking motivated and adaptable Floating Teachers to join our team.

***We are currently looking for floating teachers for our Saint Charles and O'Fallon locations.***

The Floating Teacher will work across various classrooms within the center, providing support to lead teachers and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to gain experience working with children of different ages and developmental stages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Provide support and supervision to children during transitions, mealtimes, and outdoor play.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment in all classrooms, including sanitizing toys and surfaces as needed.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Follow all center policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and emergency protocols.
• Adapt quickly to the needs of different classrooms and age groups.
• Cover lead teacher responsibilities during their absence, including leading activities, managing classroom behavior, and communicating with parents.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure continuity of care and consistent implementation of curriculum.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a licensed childcare setting.
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work with different age groups and in various classroom settings.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
