Overview

The Truck Loader is responsible for manually separating and loading packages on proper carriers for shipping.

*This is NOT a forklift role.

Essential Functions

• Manually move product from conveyor system to trailers
• Checks that each package is loaded in the correct trailer
• Scans and weights product brought to shipping that does not fit on the conveyor
• Places jiffy packages in the proper container provided
• Re-verifies packages sent back on the reject line for label accuracy
• Communicate with drivers when trailers are ready to pull
• Comply with all company safety rules and regulations
• Maintain orderly housekeeping of assigned area
• Other tasks as assigned and/or needed

Non-essential Functions

• Cover for other positions as needed

Required Qualifications and Education

• 1 year experience Shipping, Warehouse/Manufacturing environment preferred
• Average mathematic, organizational, and time management skills

• Must be able to move up to 80 pounds, employees are encouraged to use good judgment with heavy or bulky packages, seek help when lifting objects exceeding 35 pounds
• Must be able to reach a maximum height of 5 feet

• Must be able to communicate verbally and written
• Must be able to ascend/descend ladders and stairs
