Position Summary/Objective:

The Contract Administrator is focused on executing business within the terms of a contractual agreement with a customer. This role supports daily business transactions, customer service, production coordination, inventory planning and business growth, with a focus on maximizing profit.

Essential Functions:

Essential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and frequency at which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job. 1. Develops, tracks and maintains customer base for assigned contracts

2. Completes and maintains all customer contract forms. All customer contract forms and price exhibits to be kept up to date, day to day, cost versus resale maintained and new additions documented

3. Provide Best-In-Class customer service commensurate with the policy and objectives of AMI Metals 

4. Interface with customer in assigned territories, including, but not limited to, generating sales and profits from assigned contract base

5. Process Customer orders and have detailed outline of order entry flow and contractual obligations in their respective contractual manual

6. Provide feedback to Management and Administrative Departments

7. Assist in maintaining A/R integrity with all customers in assigned territory

8. Execute Management strategy for Contract Development

9. Participates in departmental and /or other company meetings

10. Customer reporting: Responsible for generating, using, presenting and explaining to the customer the AMI reporting tools. (Forecast variance, delivery performance, status or history reports, etc.)

11. Forecast Review: Responsible for reviewing customer forecast and ensuring the appropriate size and level of inventory is on order, using current lead time to cover forecasted needs

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to work under deadline-driven, sometimes stressful conditions
  • Ability to work irregular hours
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives

Required Education, Professional Certifications/Licenses & Experience:

  • College education; or six to twelve months related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
