Description

Under the direction of, and reporting to the Automation Service Manager, this position is responsible for
programming, troubleshooting, debugging and preparation of automation systems to customer specifications.
Designing programs, able to teach and train customers and clients as well as maintaining, servicing, and
repairing as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Take initiative to meet challenging project timelines and budgets.
o Report status of machine and any risks or issues as they arise.
o Communicate clearly with project management.
o Work with all project team members from all departments.
o Work with controls team to ensure functionality of system.
o Work with mechanical engineers for updates on machine assemblies.
o Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.
o Setup, program, and debug systems to meet customer specifications.
o Preform reach studies to ensure project success.
o Improve cycle time and system throughput by adjusting robot path and functions.
o Installation and configuration of hardware and software options
o Perform safe installation of automation systems.
o Evaluate installation sites
o Willingness to travel as required
o Provide technical support.
o Provide support for down production systems.
o Provide support for developing or improving process.
o Perform preventative or corrective maintenance on automation systems or components.
o Maintain, update, and prepare service records of automation systems.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
o High School degree or equivalent.
o Associates degree in robotics, robot programming or automation preferred.
o 1-2 years ’experience in automation preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
o Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
o Must be ablet to lift objects weighing up to 15 pounds.
o May be required to travel on occasion.
o To meet deadlines and support business operations works a flexible schedule, including nights and
weekends and attending events/meetings as needed.
o Must possess valid Driver’s license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is primarily indoors. May have exposure to a variety of weather conditions when
traveling outside of the workplace.
