Central McGowan is Hiring an Utility Relief Driver Near Little Falls, MN

Under the direction of, and reporting to the Branch Manager, the utility relief driver supports a wide variety of
distribution areas, including warehouse support, customer service and back up driving for routes. They help
control warehouse inventory by coordinating movement of product from warehouse to shipping to store.
They also help receive, stores and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse,
ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Shipping and receiving of hard goods, consumables, and cylinders from outside vendors as well as
internal transfer of goods.
o The transfer of products between St. Cloud and Little Falls Branches (in absence of a transfer
driver).
o The loading and unloading of cylinders and hard goods off the St. Cloud transfer truck.
o Distribution and stocking of items from the St. Cloud transfer truck.
o Maintenance of stocking levels and inventories in warehouse and in store.
o Shipment and receipt of incoming freight, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders
to sales orders and distributing to appropriate department or warehouse space.
o Movement of product and cylinders to stock inventory from warehouse to the retail store
o Cycle counting inventory and cylinders.
o Serve as relief route driver for multiple routes
o Use ACM handheld units.
o Serve as a backup for customer service calls and walk-in customers
o Receipt of incoming merchandise from outside vendors
o Helping unload incoming freight trucks.
o Receipt and unloading of incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with
purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment. Once a packing list or shipping document is
received it must be given to accounts payable.
o Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory which is received.
o Communicate with accounts payable to regarding any issues pertaining to orders.
o Verify that all incoming freight matches our purchase orders.
o Fill all customer back orders and sort and stock by sales personnel.
o Stock warehouse inventory using our bin location system.
o Be able to reads orders and locate products using our bin location system.
o Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify
supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
o Deliver items to requisitioning departments.
o Fill orders for route sales and account managers
o Assist route salesmen with loading and unloading cylinders.
o Use TIMS to create store delivery tickets for orders requested by account managers and route
sales personnel.
o Pull orders from inventory and deliver to account manager / route sales back order shelf.
o Fill Propane and Chemtane cylinders
o Inspect, label, and maintain all propane cylinders to remain complaint.
o Safely fill and operate fuel gas filling station.
o Ship various products using multiple carriers
o Be able to locate products and pull orders using our bin location system from delivery tickets.
o Ensure that all orders are pulled correctly and communicate with sales personnel or purchasing
if there are questions or discrepancies.
o Make necessary changes to delivery tickets to ensure the customer will receive the exact
shipment they are expecting.
o Enter in orders and generate delivery tickets using our TIMS software that is turned in by route
delivery drivers.
o Perform building maintenance tasks to both interior and exterior of our facility.
o Clean and maintain warehouse, including but not limited to rotating inventories, sweeping,
organizing.
o Perform seasonal interior and exterior maintenance.
o Set up new and used equipment for sale or delivery.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES
o All other duties requested by management.

o Proficient with Microsoft Office or related software, and standard business equipment (phone,
computer, copier/scanner etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
o High School degree or equivalent preferred.
o 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse position preferred.
o Experience working with high pressure cylinders preferred.
o Must be able to attain a Class A CDL with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsement.
o Forklift experience, desirable
JOB REQUIREMENTS
o Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing
up to 10 pounds.
o Twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently in the performance of
responsibilities.
o Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability.
o Adhere to all proper safety standards and regulations including wearing proper protective equipment and
gear as it relates to the job.
o To meet deadlines and support business operations works a flexible schedule, including nights and
weekends as needed.
o Must possess valid MN driver’s license and be able to do some local travel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is primarily indoors. May have exposure to a variety of weather conditions outside of
plant.
