Starting Wage D.O.E.
*POSTION DOES REQUIRE TRAVEL BETWEEN THREE CASINO LOCATIONS (ALL WITHIN A LITTLE MORE THAN ONE HOUR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER).
JOB SUMMARY: Oversees all organization computer related activities. Will plan, install, and monitor software and hardware, and ensure that the enterprise’s overall information technology needs are met. Create and enforce preventative maintenance schedules, and maintain logs on all equipment. Maintain preventative maintenance logs on all equipment, as required. Pull and terminate networking and various cabling as needed, including fiber. Supervises P Support Technicians and equipment repair.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. Minimum of a 2 (two) year Associate Degree in Microcomputer Science or related experience. Previous casino IT experience is a benefit. Must have experience with Microsoft products. Must have excellent interpersonal communications skills and be highly motivated. Experience with switches, hubs, routers, modems and WAN equipment is essential. Knowledge of networking cable standards and fiber terminations, a benefit. Must possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to meet our insurance criteria.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must have the ability to lift and carry computers and computer related items. Must be able to work on ladders, lateral lifts, and in ceilings for wire pulling. Must be able to handle heights. Must have the ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Planning and implementing IT projects, such as system upgrades or expansions. Will oversee department budget, including ordering, tracking, and maintaining department supplies and materials. Providing technical support to users and vendors. Set-up and maintenance of all computers and related peripherals. Maintain preventative maintenance and inventory logs. Pull and terminate network and various cabling, including fiber. Supervise PC Support Technicians.
LEADERSHIP: Must be able to lead additional personnel in daily tasks that achieve the IT Directors short and long term intent.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
