Hartsfield Village is a CCRC providing Independent Living, Assisted Living and Rehabilitation services to individuals in Munster and the surrounding areas. We are hiring for a NEW position to oversee the Recreation Departments at all levels of care on campus.

Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) certification required

What We Need:

The Recreational Services Director is directly responsible for supervising the Recreation departments at each level of care at Hartsfield Village.

Seeking individuals with a passion for the Healthcare industry who are willing to go the extra mile to deliver meaningful and engaging opportunities to our patients and residents, ultimately improving and enhancing experiences and quality of life.

SCHEDULE:

Primarily M-F during business hours. Occasional Holidays and/or Weekends as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Recreation, Sociology, Psychology or another related field required

· Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) certification required

· 1 – 3 years continuous work as an Activity Director and/or CTRS

· Experience in a CCRC setting preferred

· Experience in program development and oversight to meet the psychosocial needs of our residents and patients at various levels of care

· Computer and software proficiency to include familiarity with use of EMR platforms (ie: Matrix, EPIC, etc.)

· Must have CPR or be willing to obtain within 3 months

Areas of Responsibility:

· Directly supervises the following roles across the continuum of care on campus: Manager of Recreation - Rehab Center, Manager of Recreation - Independent Living, Manager of Recreation - Assisted Living

· Provides direct supervision and oversight to the Transportation Driver(s)

· Participates in clinical IDT meetings at both the Rehabilitation Center and Assisted Living to develop targeted patient specific programming and/or interventions

· Oversees the development and implementation of programming to promote patients' and residents' physical, cognitive and psychosocial well-being campus wide

· Supervises and encourage the development/maintenance of a robust Volunteer Program offering a variety of intergenerational programming campus wide

· Participates in routine review of Activity Programming with Administration at each level of care to ensure program goals are being met

· Performs related tasks as assigned
