Summary:

APV is seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect that will provide data model designs, Salesforce solutioning specifications, guidance for developers and other data related activities on a major Salesforce implementation for a Federal Agency.

Duties:

• Understand clients’ business, functional and informational requirements and translate them into Salesforce solution specifications
• Collaborate with business analysts, technical architects, and developers on medium to large-scale projects for federal clients to create and solution requirements
• Conduct discovery and design workshops to design data models, and work with the implementation team to build them
• Assess, rearchitect, improve and maintain clients’ data processes and architecture for both on-premises and cloud-based data systems
• Assess risk and technical debt and design plans to mitigate them
• Assess gaps in data strategy, data quality, data security, data governance, data architecture and more, and provide plans to address them
• Conduct team reviews and recommend data modeling, administrative, and design improvements
• Ensure project success through to completion
• Learn, research, and institutionalize advanced data technologies, concepts, and standards to contribute to a Salesforce COE (Center-of-Excellence)
• Contribute to building and improving our IT consulting delivery capabilities (people, process, and technology)
• Demonstrate high-level knowledge of enterprise IT organizational, business, and technical environments
• All other duties as assigned.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience

Certification:

• Salesforce Platform App Builder certification required
• Salesforce Application Architect certification preferred

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to identify the least code-dependent Salesforce solution (aka, the most ‘elegant’ solution) available for any functional requirement
• 3 years of experience designing and building relational data models that fulfill business requirements
• 5 years of Salesforce application/platform building
• 5 years of MS SQL and relational database experience in writing complex queries
• Experience with Salesforce platform building, including SFDC Experience Sites, Lightning Web Components, APIs, REST based web services, XML, SQL
• Experience with Salesforce development life cycle with DevOps processes and tools
• Experience with Salesforce Experience Cloud, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud
• Working knowledge of Agile lifecycle tools such as JIRA
• Experience with Salesforce reporting and dashboards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Ability to effectively debug and resolve issues and/or defects
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to clearly communicate recommended improvements using cost/benefit concepts
• Knowledge of Salesforce best practices and ability to apply them
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with federal government or healthcare IT
• Experience working with data lake systems like Snowflake
• Tableau, Einstein AI, PowerBI or similar data visualization technologies preferred
• Experience with SQL, APEX, Java, Python
