Job Title: Marina Overnight Security

Reports to: Director of Marina

Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, rated as the #1 resort in South Carolina, has a fantastic opportunity for a Marina Overnight Security to join our team. The Marina Night Audit is responsible for providing friendly, efficient registration and information to all guests, fellow associates and visitors, running nightly slip checks, making sure the Marina is kept safe and being the first responder to any guest issues and assist in keeping our property quiet, ensuring our guests have a great night’s sleep.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITES:

· Must have excellent verbal, and written communication skills, and basic computer and math skills.

· Attention to detail, problem solving, and the ability to work independently is necessary

· Maintain and improve the quality of the guest experience

· Check guest in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted / fulfilled and accurate information is established

· Answer the telephone in a professional manner and assist guests with any questions, directions to the property etc.

· Interact with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information

· Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and Resort policies

· Communicate all pertinent information to the Marina Manager and Dockmaster

· Complete nightly slip audit

· Maintain appearance of dock

· Assist boats into the Marina and into proper slip

· Complete fuel transactions

· Make sure Marina is secure

Qualifications / Requirement:

· High school graduate or equivalent required

· Excellent oral and communication skills required

· Excellent multi-tasking skills required

· Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm, professional manner

· Experience in cash/check/credit card handling preferred

· Dockmaster software experience, a plus

· Able to work varying shifts depending on the requirements of the position

· Ability to swim

· Boating Knowledge is preferred

A minimum of 1 year of Marine related experience required.

Applicants must be able to pass a drug test and background check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
