Summary:

The position of Supplier and Category Coordinator will provide administrative support on a range of assignments, balancing assigned tasks in a highly organized and efficient way, with emphasis on attention to fine detail and shifting priorities. The ability to work well in a small team environment, as well as independently, is essential to this position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day needs of the PCM Team: Responsible for assisting daily office administrative duties & activities to ensure smooth operation of Category Management team. Handle and coordinate efforts with Sales team inquiries. Coordinate completion of special projects, as needed.
• Supplier Communications: Maintain vendor/supplier information and contact files.
• New Vendor/New Item Setup: Assist in ensuring new Items are accurately launched in conjunction with Chex workflow.
• Monthly New Item Launches & Sample Coordination: Assist with gathering and follow up of vendor promotions and notes into Target system and promotional grid. Gather, organize, and maintain all trade show samples.
• Sourcing/Onboarding Support: Assist with supplier engagement plans that prioritize key vendor relationships, strategic relationships, and emerging brand growth. Support customer specific requests and program execution with our suppliers and brokers.
• Retailer Category Review Communication with Supplier/Brokers: Support retailer category reviews with effective insights.
• Promotional Implementation: Support quarterly programs, deals, and communications for assigned categories, providing support to key suppliers, supporting development of assortment and promotional plans, and working to ensure alignment with both Chex and supplier partner brand objectives. Ensure accurate and timely execution of product and promotional submissions. supporting retailer category reviews with effective insights and building effective promotional programs.
• Monthly Price Changes: Manage item maintenance ensuring accuracy with product information, pack or price changes, new item set up, monthly/quarterly promotions.

Qualifications/Skills/Requirements:

• 2 years administrative skills.
• Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service orientation, sense of urgency, ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines. Demonstrates strong initiative and follow-through.
• Ability to adapt well to changing priorities.
• Intermediate to advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (using functions and formulas and high familiarity with pivot tables).
• SharePoint and Monday.com experience a plus!
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
