Description

Job Title: Branch Manager

Reports to: Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Exempt

The individual in this position should be competent, experienced, personable, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, and able to adapt to the pressures of effectively managing the branch (store) and daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all operational aspects including delivery, warehouse operations, customer service, human resources, administration and sales.
  • Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective sales opportunities.
  • Assisting to develop forecasts, financial objectives and business plans.
  • Meet goals and metrics as set by Management.
  • Manage budget and allocate funds appropriately.
  • Bring out the best of branch’s personnel by providing training, coaching, development and motivation.
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Share knowledge with other branches and teammates on effective practices, competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.
  • Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly.
  • Adhere to high ethical standards, and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company.
  • Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration.
  • They must manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure customer satisfaction and proper branch operation. 
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the locations through direct and indirect reports.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walking are occasionally required.
  • Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.
  • Keying data is repetitive motion and is frequently required.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional exposure to other worksites that require personal protective equipment.
  • Driving to customers locations and branches is required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Heavy Duty Parts industry experience a plus.
  • Proven track record in meeting sales and gross margin targets.
  • Proven financial and business acumen.
  • Valid driver's license.

• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

• Ability to maintain a positive and professional presence in the workplace.

• The person will have a hands-on approach and will be committed to the expansion and success of the business.

• Implements strategies that increase productivity and enable sales targets to be achieved.

• Proven management experience in the heavy-duty parts industry or similar role is preferred.

• Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices.

• Ability to meet sales targets and production goals.

• Familiarity with industry’s rules and regulations.

• Results driven and customer focused.
