Skills & Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• On-call schedule management
• Staff support and clinical tasks as delegated by the DON
• Assists in the responsibility for the total patient care within the nursing unit, and the management of the unit.
• Provides direct nursing care to the patients
• Carries out administrative and patient care duties as directed by the DON
• Supervises and assumes responsibility for the actions and care delivered by the nurse associates including monitoring and responding to all policies and procedures regarding such duties.
• Administers medication and treatment per the Physician orders specific to the patient.
• Instructs and observes care is implemented per the physician/clinician or based on standard of practice
• Assist and direct in the admission/discharge process of patients
• STNA/Nurse scheduling
• Care Planning
• Assessments
• Working alongside the current nursing department to learn the facility residents and care routines.
• Covering shifts as needed

Requirements for the position include:

• Nursing home experience (preferred but not required)
• Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Must be familiar with and be able to follow all established Federal, State and Local rules, regulations and guidelines.
• Must understand and be able to implement and follow facility policy/procedure.
• Experience working with cognitive deficit and behavioral health care (plus).
