Workers Compensation Case Manager| The Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm

Salary: $26-$28/hour

Location: Hybrid or Remote (training will take place in person)

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Workers Compensation Case Manager to join our dynamic team at the Illinois Hammer Injury Law Firm. With a team of experienced attorneys, we are dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation to our clients. As a Workers Compensation Case Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients who have suffered personal injuries, ensuring they receive the support and guidance they need throughout their legal journey. You will work closely with our attorneys, clients, medical professionals, and insurance companies to manage cases efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Client Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating empathy and compassion while addressing their questions and concerns throughout the legal process. Educate clients about the legal process, their rights, and potential outcomes, ensuring they are well-informed throughout their case.
2. Case Management: Manage a portfolio of workers compensation cases, ensuring all necessary documents, records, and deadlines are met, assisting attorneys in building persuasive arguments.
3. Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, attorneys, and insurance companies to provide updates on case progress.
4. Documentation: Keep detailed records of all case-related activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
5. Negotiation: Assist attorneys in negotiating settlements by creating comprehensive demand packages for submission to insurance carriers and opposing parties when appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal communication skills – demonstrates a sense of empathy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using a workers compensation client database software
• Prior experience as a Case Manager, Legal Assistant, or similar role within a Law firm is preferred
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred
• Bachelor's degree in pre-law, legal studies, or a related field is preferred, but not required
