Pinebrook Family Answers is Hiring a Parent Support Partner Near Allentown, PA

We are currently seeking a Family Support Partner to join our team.

High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) is team-based, collaborative process for helping children and youth with special mental health needs and their families identify and use their strengths and community resources.

The Family Support Partner utilizes their experience of raising a child with severe emotional and/or behavioral health challenges to assist parents with similar challenges. This provides an empathetic link to the parent through which the Family Support Partner supports and extends the work of the HFW facilitator to ensure the phases and activities, principles and theory of change are accomplished and provides direct services to the parents to better ensure an individualized approach.

WHAT You’ll Do as a Family Support Partner:

  • Successfully complete the Youth and Family Training Institute of Pennsylvania’s credentialing process within 12 months.
  • Provide peer support to parents and caregivers.
  • Familiarize new caregivers with Pinebrook Family Answers and the High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) program.
  • Help families understand the roles of different team members in developing and implementing individualized plans.
  • Share personal and professional experiences to meet families’ needs.
  • Advocate for the “parent voice” and perspective in routine operations and initiative development.
  • Offer consultation and training to staff on effective parent-professional partnerships.
  • Regularly communicate with the team, sharing family stories, culture, strengths, concerns, and needs.
  • Maintain timely and professional documentation according to HFW credentialing standards.

  • Lived Experience: Must be a parent or legal caregiver of a child who has received mental health services. The child must now be over 18 years of age.
  • Personality and Engagement: Requires an outgoing personality. Ability to engage with people from different cultures, ages, and backgrounds.
  • Systems Experience: Must have experience with various systems, including schools, mental health agencies, child welfare, juvenile justice, and health care.
  • Community Knowledge: Possess extensive knowledge of community resources and the ability to engage with them.
