Introduction:

The Zebra, named a Best Place to Work in Austin four years running, is revolutionizing how connected consumers research and shop for insurance. We intentionally strive to build diverse teams that feel inclusive for all. Our motto is "All Stripes Welcome," and we put that into practice by valuing both traditional and non-conventional backgrounds and perspectives. Our Zeebs are passionate about learning, growing, & working together to tackle exciting problems.

The Sr. Affiliate Marketing Specialist will manage and optimize our affiliate marketing program to scale the overall impact of affiliate channels and drive growth that aligns with business goals. This role will work closely with the overall growth marketing team and other teams across the organization. The Sr. Affiliate Marketing Specialist is responsible for partner discovery, onboarding, communication, and ongoing support for the brand’s affiliate program. The role works to drive quality traffic and prospects and/or customers to our website while aligning with and elevating the brand. This position seeks to improve and profitably scale the program to grow traffic volume that meets or exceeds downstream action goals, aligns with overall business strategies, and increases brand sentiment.

Location:

While we are open to remote work across the contingent US, we are still establishing our company to support work in all states! We’ve recently shifted from an in-office organization to a hybrid model and love the flexibility it allows our employees. We are set up to support employees who want to be fully remote, in-office only, and a mix of the two. Please note - we will not be supporting work based out of the following states: CA, MA, NY, NJ.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive partner discovery, vetting, onboarding, partner engagement, tracking, optimization, and content monitoring across all affiliate partners.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for affiliate partners, promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, collaboration opportunities, and miscellaneous tasks to nurture strong and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Design, test, and execute strategies that profitably scale the brand’s affiliate program via recruitment, incentives, and communication.
  • Dive deep into performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and potential areas for optimization. Translate findings into actionable strategies and share program updates and insights on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, and SEO teams to deliver a cohesive strategy across marketing channels that drives impactful outcomes for the business.

What We're Looking For:

As we evaluate candidates across all roles, we look for folks who have a strong sense of ownership, great communication and collaboration skills, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or similar field preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in digital marketing with a solid understanding of performance marketing concepts; affiliate or influencer marketing preferred
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to understanding program levers, problem-solving, and goal achievement.
  • Well-versed in affiliate marketing programs with solid understanding of how to use these media channels to drive quality traffic that converts
  • Experience in independently managing and optimizing marketing campaigns rooted in data-driven decisions
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, capable of interpreting data into actionable optimizations and strategies
  • Proficiency using business productivity tools like G Suite or Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry, including an understanding of insurance products and related KPI’s is a plus.
