Alvarado Parkway Institute (API) is a free-standing psychiatric hospital in La Mesa, California with three Intensive Outpatient/Partial Hospitalization Programs. API offers a variety of Outpatient Services designed to assist patients in functioning at the highest level. API provides Partial Hospitalization services and Intensive Outpatient services. Transcribe and proofread all confidential transcribed reports for thoroughness and completeness. Maintain an up-to-date Transcription Log book which accurately reflects performance and productivity. Carries out other departmental functions and provides assistance and back-up for co-workers as assigned and deemed necessary.

The healthcare setting requires that API employees support an environment of safety through adhering to infection control principles, prompt identification/mitigation/ reporting of safety concerns to their supervisor and adhering to all workplace safety requirements and policies.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Able to push and pull up to 20lbs. Able to speak, write, type and understand the English language. Ability to engage in physical activities with the patient’s including outdoor games. All API Healthcare/Clinical/Direct Care employees and those who work in patient care areas: Standing for long periods of time, bending, kneeling, lifting (within capabilities), twisting, carrying (within capabilities). Ability to talk, listen, hear, and verbally respond to comments directed to the employee. Must be able to participate without limitations in Code Green situations.
