What are the responsibilities and job description for the ETL QA Analyst position at Zone IT Solutions?
We are seeking a detail-oriented ETL QA Analyst in Princeton, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting end-to-end testing of ETL processes within a data warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for ETL/data warehouse projects
- Validate data integrity, accuracy, and completeness across source and target systems
- Perform data reconciliation and data quality checks using SQL queries
- Analyze ETL mappings, workflows, and transformations for testing coverage
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools
- Perform regression, integration, and system testing for data pipelines
- Validate large datasets and troubleshoot data discrepancies
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production validation
- Ensure compliance with data governance and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 4 years of experience in ETL Testing / Data Warehouse Testing
- Strong expertise in SQL for data validation and analysis
- Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or similar
- Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)
- Familiarity with databases like Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL
- Experience in test automation tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of data migration and data validation techniques
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
