Controller - Public Accounting & Manufacturing

Zing Recruiting is seeking an experienced Controller with a background in public accounting auditing, specifically with manufacturing clients. The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, oversee accounting activities, and play a pivotal role in building and leading a high-performing accounting team.

Pay range: $150k - $180k (15 bonus).

Relocation package available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Hire and manage teams for Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Staff Accountants.
• Financial Oversight: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes.
• Cost Accounting Expertise: Provide insights into cost accounting and inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of manufacturing costs.
• ERP Management: Act as a super-user for ERP systems (Epicor10 / Epicor Kinetic) and provide training to the accounting staff.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Vice President of Finance on banking and budgeting activities.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Staff Development: Support the growth and development of team members while addressing personnel issues.
  
  

Basic Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in public accounting auditing, with a focus on manufacturing clients.
• Career Level: Candidates should be no more than 15 years into their career.
• Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking abilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word; experience with SQL, ERP System, and Power BI is a plus.
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
