Position: LPN Med Surg – Night Shift
Location: DeRidder, LA 70634
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Med Surg position at a community-owned, not-for-profit 49-bed hospital in DeRidder, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care to medical and surgical patients and occasionally pediatric patients.
The facility is Joint Commission accredited and is looking for a dependable LPN who can adapt to a changing schedule.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the appropriate healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments within the scope of the LPN license.
- Assist with patient assessments, daily care, and documentation.
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow facility policies and safety standards.
- Occasionally provide care to pediatric patients.
Requirements
- Active Louisiana LPN license or eligibility to practice in Louisiana.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Previous Med Surg experience required.
- Ability to work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
- Must be available to work 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the following week.
- Strong communication, clinical, and patient care skills.
Pay: $1,100.00 - $1,240.00 per week
