This role involves designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of complex applications handling sensitive financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks from scratch
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Perform API testing and validate backend services
- Analyze business and technical requirements to create detailed test cases and automation strategies
- Execute manual and automated test cases and log, track, and resolve defects
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and business analysts to ensure end-to-end quality assurance
- Support release planning, regression cycles, and test reporting
- Monitor logs and troubleshoot issues in test environments
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage across application layers
Experience
- 5 years of overall IT experience in software testing
- 3 years of hands-on automation testing experience
- Proven experience as an SDET / Automation Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Playwright Automation (REQUIRED)
- TestNG
- JUnit
- Cucumber (BDD framework)
- Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
- Strong JavaScript coding skills
- Solid experience in API testing (REST/SOAP)
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and SDLC
- Experience with test case design, execution, and defect tracking
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, UFT or similar)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration of automation suites
- Working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Quality Center)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN, Bitbucket)
- Experience with performance/load testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner)
- Exposure to highly secure or financial transaction systems
- Experience working on federal/government projects
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps collaboration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
