Duties
- Measure, cut, and install various types of siding materials, including vinyl, fiber cement, and stucco, ensuring proper fit and finish.
- Install windows of different sizes and styles according to schematics and blueprints, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, levels, and caulking guns to complete installations efficiently.
- Operate power tools safely for cutting, fastening, and finishing siding and window components.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute installation plans.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols on the construction site.
- Conduct minor repairs or adjustments during installation to ensure optimal performance and appearance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on siding or window installation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and fabrication techniques.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, and masonry tools as needed.
- Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, framing carpentry, metal stud framing, stucco application, masonry, plumbing, welding, tile laying, restoration work, concrete forming or remodeling is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights when necessary.
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and trim carpentry skills for finishing touches.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Valid construction or trade certification is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
