What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at YWCA Oklahoma City?
YWCA Oklahoma City offers victims of domestic violence (DV), sexual assault (SA), and stalking immediate crisis response services through our C.A.R.E. and H.O.P.E programs. The C.A.R.E. programs includes the following services: Crisis hotlines, Advocacy, emergency Residential shelter, and forensic nurse Exams. The H.O.P.E. programs includes Healing, Opportunities, Prevention, and Education. YWCA OKC services are provided at our primary location, through staff embedded at the Palomar Family Justice Center and local hospitals throughout the metro Oklahoma City area.
The YWCA Oklahoma City is searching for a full-time Maintenance Technician.
Hourly rate $17-20
- Perform routine maintenance of facilities and equipment in accordance with the maintenance plan.
- Perform repairs to facilities and equipment within the scope of knowledge and skills.
- Respond to assigned maintenance requests from YWCA staff.
- Inspect facilities and grounds daily and correct or report any issues.
- Respond to after-hours call of maintenance emergencies and security system alarms.
- Monitor fleet vehicles including scheduled maintenance, regular oil changes, and repairs and cleaning as needed.
- Assist with all facility safety inspection s (fire alarms, security systems, sprinklers, etc.).
- Assist with development of specifications for projects.
- Assist with requesting estimates for facility and equipment repairs as requested.
- Accompany facility maintenance vendors as requested.
- Develop and maintain relationships with facilities and equipment vendors (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pest control, security systems, grease removal, etc.)
- Assist the Health and Safety Committee as requested with safety inspection of facilities.
- Conduct safety drills for all YWCA owned facilities including tornado, earthquake, fire, intruder, and document results.
- Assist with the development and management of campus security protocol and procedures.
- Maintain inventory of building and grounds supplies for all facilities.
- Assist with periodic inventory of furniture and equipment
- Adhere to YWCA Code of Ethics and maintain professional boundaries with clients.
Other Job Requisites:
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of one year facility maintenance construction, and/or comparable experience. Experience performing minor building, drywall, paint, plumbing, landscape, irrigation repairs is preferred. Hourly rate will be based on experience.
