Experience And Qualifications
- Some custodial experience preferred.
- Follow simple oral or written instructions; performs routine work based on past practice; simple computation.
- Ability to perform custodial duties.
- Assists in sanitation control and checks safety hazards.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to interact with students in a manner that demonstrates respect and dignity.
- Act 34 Clearance, Act 151 Clearance., FBI Clearance
- Drug Screening(self-paid)
- Act 126 & Act 71 Certifications
- Letter of Interest, Resume and Application Directly Through the District Website
- High School Graduate
- Participate in a wide variety of duties involved with maintaining the building and grounds in a clean, orderly safe and sanitary condition.
- Replace broken or wet ceiling tiles.
- Maintain floors, walls and furniture in a clean condition by washing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming; scrubbing and waxing. Periodically wash bleacher seats.
- Wash windows using ladder or long-handled brushes.
- Clean washbowls, toilets and urinals; refill containers with towels, tissue and soap.
- Patch and paint walls
- Move chairs, desks, tables, pianos and equipment as directed. Set up chairs for special meeting and sporting activities. Move garbage and trash containers to designated areas for pick-up.
- Unlock doors and check building before leaving to maintain security.
- Assist in the cafeteria daily i.e.: mopping floors, washing walls, empty trash cans etc.
- Maintain grounds by mowing grass with hand or power mower, trimming shrubbery, sweeping sidewalks, removing snow, raking leaves and cleaning playgrounds.
- Specific duties will vary depending upon the location assigned but generally the duties listed are indicative of the skill levels required and the physical demands of the job.
