Accountant I

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented individual for a full-time Accountant I position.

This role is an opportunity to directly impact the experience of staff, vendors, and teams by ensuring financial processes are accurate, timely, and rooted in trust. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Accountant I supports the accounting department across all financial functions, helping maintain a reliable foundation for our work. Through collaboration, professionalism, and care, this role strengthens the systems that allow our teams to focus on serving our communities.

Location: Tustin, CA

  • Serve as a trusted steward of financial accuracy, ensuring vendors and teams receive timely, reliable support that strengthens confidence in our processes.

  • Contribute to budgeting, reconciliations, and monthly close in ways that keep our financial cycles running smoothly and our teams equipped to move forward.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education & Certifications:
  • 2 or 4 year college degree with an accounting emphasis required.
    • Additional years of experience may offset a portion of the educational requirement.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in general accounting functions (A/R, A/P, G/L, C/R, account reconciliations and analysis).
  • 10-Key experience required.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Word required.
