you. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (AT LEAST 60% OF THE TIME): Maintains an
accounting system to accomplish the proper recording and reporting of
all operations, transactions, assets and liabilities of the YMCA for all
funds. Processes monthly close including recording of general ledger
transactions and prepares financial statements required by management,
the board, and outside agencies. Recruits/hires, trains, supervises,
develops and manages all accounting staff and monitors budgets,
including accounts payable and receivable, fixed assets, prepaid
expenses, grants management and general accounting areas Facilitates key
functions such as annual independent audit. Conducts special internal
audits, accounting studies, analyses and cost studies as required.
Provides recommendations Maintains records, and prepares various
internal and external reports, including reports for various federal and
state agencies. Aides in preparation of the IRS Form 990 tax return and
state Uniform Financial Report. Aides in design of practices, processes,
and procedures for strong fiscal management. Serves as resource person
to management and program personnel in all financial matters relating to
accounting and accounts payable and navigates differing stakeholder

10% OF THE TIME): Supervises or prepares reconciliations of general
ledger accounts such as but not limited to bank accounts, receivables
and payable fixed assets and prepaid expenses, outstanding debt and
other liabilities on a monthly basis. Aides in coordination and
supervision of operating cash flow management. Works closely with IT
staff to ensure that computer and software systems provide accurate
information and adequate internal controls. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY AND
ACCOUNTABILITY: Leads multiple teams, manages complex projects, or
provides tactical leadership to operations. This job has direct
