What You’ll Do
As a Special Operations Officer, you’ll be part of a tactical and professional team of officers trained to overcome all obstacles set upon them. This role will work directly with the Operations Manager and act as a liaison between customers, managers, and security guards.
In this role, you will need to be highly efficient at engaging with people in a variety of settings from ensuring the safety of all patrons at an art gala to physically detaining an individual. The Special Operations Officer is the pinnacle of security services, and operates with limited instructions, makes sound decisions, is an effective communicator, and is always ready to employ their skills in a tactical situation.
Supervision
You will lead by example and provide supervision and coordination of the delivery of quality services to our customers while ensuring the security and safety of our customer’s property and personnel. You will be responsible for supervising site staff while providing coaching, recognition, and discipline within your approved empowered range including terminating an employee.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination and execution of security services for special events and other sites
- Manage the initial meeting of new guards assigned to a post
- Supervise your assigned team to ensure their commitment to their position is unwavering
- Understand and execute security safety procedures and site-specific instructions
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner
- Engage with guards regularly providing leader and mentorship; coach guards with deficiencies and assist in improving productivity levels
- Create/review incidents reports; record observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Utilizing your weapon in times of extreme attack when non-violent options have been exhausted
- Communicate at every level of the organization, clients, peers and the general public
- Other job duties as needed

What You Will Need To Be Considered
- 3 years as an armed security guard
- 3 years of security supervisory experience
- Possess an active California Guard Card and Exposed Firearm Permit
- Own firearm and duty belt
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Prior Military or Law Enforcement experience
- Pass an extensive background check (criminal record, driving record, drug testing etc.)
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma/Equivalent; College degree preferred
Physical Requirements
- Must be capable of performing all physical requirements to include standing, walking, and sitting for prolonged periods of time
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
